About Us
The Bereko Community Partnership was established in 2016. We are a group of organisations in Paddock Wood that are working together to build the link between our town and the small town, or village, of Bereko in Tanzania.
Bereko is in the Anglican Diocese of Kondoa and the civic District of Kondoa. Our link started in 2006 as a new friendship between the church families in Paddock Wood and Bereko and has grown over the years to include both primary schools, secondary schools and town councils.
In October 2012 we celebrated our link by signing a formal friendship agreement at a
church service attended by the Deputy High Commissioner of Tanzania, Chabaka Kilamanga, and the Bishop of Kondoa, the Rt Rev Dr Given Gaula.
