More news about the Primary Schools in Bereko

A new Primary School is being built for Bereko children in Kurasini, to the south east of the village. The photos below show a new classroom built in 2017, with support from the Bereko Community Partnership.

There is also a new facility for children with special needs from Bereko and surrounding villages.  This has long been the dream of Laurencia Mallya, previously head teacher of the Primary School.  Following a visit to Paddock Wood in 2008, she undertook a year's training in special needs education.  She has since slowly built up the school roll and during our visit in 2016 she received much encouragement from one of our group, a special needs teacher.
